Yelapa is a tiny seaside town nestled on a hillside at the mouth of a river. This yoga holiday is village-style. We stay at a lovely, small, jungle retreat centre, Casa de los Suenos. Upon leaving the garden gate you are met by local Yelapa children going to school, farmers riding donkeys to work, and fishermen heading to their boats. Women selling eggs may approach you on the path, or folks simply wanting to practice their English. There are no cars. Everything that comes in by boat moves by foot, burro or horse. That includes you! Be prepared to practice your Spanish, eat great food, and get your feet dusty on the path or wet jumping off the boat!
This 7 day yoga holiday, being held November 27th – December 4th, 2011, is being hosted at Casa De Los Suenos in Yelapa, Jalisco, Mexico. This divine location is 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Vallarta. Enjoy hatha yoga, fresh tropical foods, jungle hikes, whale watching, and swimming in the pristine green Pacific! The price is $1350 for 7 days of yoga, 3 meals/day, accommodation and tips at the retreat centre. This price does not include airfare, taxis or extra spending money.
